Cheers.

Cheers I have a projector. Looking at photographing my slides with a camera since the flatbeds are not that sharp.

i bought one from Wellington Photographic Supplies some time ago now. it was a portable one that did serve me well. it has since died, and don't know how much they cost these days.

as an option, any old display/monitor that you can open up a blank, white page, e.g. ms word, would do you well. you would still be doing white balance adjustments afterwards anyway due to the difference between film/slide types.

I assume you've checked Trade Me?

I bought a light box off TM a few years back - not for photography, but as a cheap way of illuminating glass art from below.

One current auction: https://www.trademe.co.nz/electronics-photography/projectors-screens/other/auction-1436859936.htm - this one is pick-up only, but I'd imagine this is an item that turns up fairly commonly on TM.

I have recently been using my 10" lenovo tablet and this torch app as a "lightbox" to copy our many hundreds of old slides into digital format using our digital camera and a modified slide duplicator device attached.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.doomy.torch

Very happy with the results so far.

That is pickup only yup, will keep an eye out.  I do have a watchlist with slide film or lightbox but most are shooting photography tents or a white table  (product photography).  Yes some are for drawing etc .. which is too dim.  Have looked on eBay and Aliexpress but one customer said it was too dark for copying slide film with a camera.

Cheers.
