Hi all

I am trying to setup a web cam for a time lapse movie of a construction site. I need a camera with a wide angle lens to fit it all in.

Does anybody out there know of a web cam with a wide angle lens?

thanks

If you get one with a threaded lens, then you have the world of CCTV lenses available to you, there are some pretty wide angles ones on ebay for a song, but expect artifacts at the edges on a cheap lens.

Otherwise you could actually get one of those fancy HD IP cams and put that up and record that using DVR software.

I would agree, we are just using a IP Security Camera with http://democam.iopen.co.nz  and as you can see it does quite a good job. There are versions out there that have a Fisheye lens, in fact most security cameras have these and seem to do a good job with capturing a large area.
