I went to signup for a twitter account

https://twitter.com/signup

and it redirects to

https://about.twitter.com/mobile-signup

Is there a way to force a url rather than redirect

has anyone else had this issue?

It seems Twitter is moving to a "mobile first" strategy, which requires you to sign up via mobile.

Yup, recently signed up and only way I could do it was to download their stupid app. Once signed up I uninstalled their app and installed falcon pro

That is pretty bad, esp if someone doesn't use a mobile. The otherthing that annoys me, well twitter aren't the only one, is them regularly asking you to confirm that your email address is correct on the webpage. Go Daddy did it to me too, after I had logged in, and I hadn't needed to reset my password, and they said they would lock my account if I didn't click in the email they sent me to confirm it confirm. I had previosuly confirmed it when I signed up. Not sure why these companies are doing this, just makes their services more frustrating to use, but suspect that have a alot of scammers using their services.
