My recently purchased Chromebook (HP G5) is android app capable.  I updated the OS to the latest to make sure.  I downloaded the Google Play Store (GPS) app and it now appears in the Chrome OS apps listing  The instructions say "go to settings and enable  GPS" but there is no listing or tickbox to enable it in Chromebook settings.

I also have a Samsung Tab 2 android tablet which shares my Gmail account.

From my investigation I believe the Chromebook thinks it is the tablet and will not activate GPS because it can see my tablet account.

Am I on the right track?  Should I disable my tablet account or will I need to generate another Gmail account for one of the devices?

Hope I make sense.

Any info is good info so TIA

Android apps on ChromeOS are still in beta, and only three models of Chromebook are currently supported. You'll have to wait a bit for the G5.

Ahh, I see now.  I didn't read the heading properly ".....later in 2016/17"

Thank you
