I've built a lean-to shed off my garage for firewood storage. I have some old iron which I was going to use for the roof but due to the hassle of cutting it to length and putting in battens I thought plywood might be a easier/better option.

What should of plywood should I use and is there anything I can stick of top of the ply to make it last longer?

Use H3.2 CCA treated ply not H3.1 LOSP.

Paint it to make it last longer - 1 primer coat then 2 top coats of a semi gloss acrylic.

The steeper you can make the pitch to avoid water ponding the better.
