I dont know why as we are ultra clean/tidy living, but we get swarms of the common flies and some big bopper blow flies during the muggy months.

They only seem to enter the ranch sliders, prob because we keep most things shuts with the air con and HRV running.

Is there any way to make some kind of cheap temporary netting that can be made to help keep them out? Obviously not leaving the doors open is key, but as soon as its open, they are in......

Happy festive season everybody!!!

Thanks to everyone for their advice - I ended up getting one of these things and this is the catch from just a few days. The reduction in fly numbers inside the house is dramatic.

I was concerned that it would smell, but unless I get right down beside it, there's barely a whiff, and it is not bad at all. The flies seem to love it though.
