I have sucessfully wired my own home for data/voice distribution using a vdsl splitter and phone/data module which distributes the signals via RJ45 jacks.
I am in the process of helping out a friend who is doing a similar thing but without any phone module.
What I am planning on doing is running direct from the demarc point using one pair of a Cat 6 cable and into a vdsl splitter.
My question is once I go from the splitter I will have two pairs to connect, one for the voice and one for data.
Which colour pair in an RJ45 plug carries which signal?
I am assuming it can only be 1 pair for each as that is all that comes out of the vdsl splitter, but which colours do what?
Once I know I can terminate the connection using gel filled joiners and then run it into the back of an RJ45 socket and onwards from there.
