I have an issue with the cost of the DCC Building Consent Inspections.
They charge $150 per inspection regardless of how long they are onsite.

Are there any other alternative  licensed Inspectors who can do this work??

I believe they must be carried out by the BCA that issued the building consent, however all fees charged must be actual and reasonable.

If you got and paid for a building consent, surely inspections are included in it?

Thanks for your reply.
Do you know if the DCC is the only entity which can issue BCA's in Dunedin??

One would expect so but sadly NO
They seem to be at liberty to charge for any number of inspection above the fees paid to get the consent.

I think you're stuck with them sorry. There is a list of all BCA's on the DBH website here.
