Either my eyes (and the wifes) are getting worse with age or our LED bulbs are getting dimmer.

Does that happen to LED bulbs over time ?

Yep it does - from memory most bulbs have a lifetime rating which is based around them still having 80% brightness from when first bought. E.g. if a bulb says it will last 25yrs then it should still have 80% brightness after 25yrs. So over time their brightness is continually decreasing.

Which would mean its pretty annoying when one bulb in a room dies after a while and you replace it with the same 'brightness' level - the new one will look stupidly brighter.
