Hi

My house has a particular type of vent for underfloor ventilation, but they are only used part way around the house. I'm hoping to source more of them to finish the rest of the house, but have never seen this type before. They might even be custom made?

Has anyone ever seen this type before? They are made of wood.

They are custom. Framed and the slats are made from 40 x 10 scriber moulding.

Do they have mesh behind them to keep small animals out?

Ah ok. Cheers. Looks like I'm gonna have to bust out my woodworking skills!

There is no mesh on them. There's currently an open hole on one side of the house that animals can get into anyway. Pretty sure a hedgehog lives there from the amount of hedgehog poo on the lawn.

One options that might be cheaper and you might find interesting yourself would be to contact your local "Menzshed" and see if there is a guy there that might be interested.

"Menzshed" are usually a group of men from the ages of 40-80 who have an interest in making things but don't have the room or tools at home.

You might make an old fella's day and learn something at the same time!
