Hi all,

Thought I would ask the question in my fav forum in NZ. I'm in Aussie and have a family member in Auckland looking around at a few people for Solar installation quotes. Anyone have any recommendations for good reliable installers that use good quality equipment please. Preferably like SMA inverter and quality panels.

Thanks

I was quite happy with solarcitys guys. They do the microinverters since I didnt want to have to deal with a large inverter on the outside of the garage and the also ugly but required surface conduit and isolating switches etc. I only have an AC isolator up on the side of the panels on the roof which is hardly noticiable. The counduit can go thru a decktite once I get things done, at the moment it comes down and thru the wall in a piece of flexi conduit then straight to the garage DB, no visible switches and when I re-line inside and can get the wire thru will have nothing visible on the outside too.

Vector were only doing a DC inverter when I had them give me a price, it was a bit cheaper but with the upcoming re-clad and rebuilding of walls and stuff I didnt want to have to deal with the inverter so the saving would have been eaten up by getting it removed and put back after builders had done their thing.

And also compare power company pricing. Depending on your family members usage patterns they might be better off just changing power companies to Flick Electric.

I can put you on to someone if you like if you like. Renesola or Trina panels okay? Or by quality do you mean top end like Solarworld?

We used SolarKing to do our install. It was into an existing build, and they managed to run all the cables in such a way that it looks as though it was there from the start (ie no conduit running outside, etc). Very very happy with the finished product, and no over selling either...although tbh we did buy more capacity than we "needed", but that's another story :D

But yeah - I would recommend SolarKing again.

Thankyou all for the replies I'll pass on to my brother so he can follow up with a few that are mentioned here.

Many thanks
