Just did my 2nd Fix on this Dryer & thought I'd share my Fixes

The exact model is DE45F56E 92108-A

1st Problem - Drum would not turn or barely turn with a Load

Fix - Replace 7uf Start Capacitor

2nd Problem - Drum turns for a moment  - two middle lights of Dryness on Panel come on and loud slow beep

Fix - Exhaust sensor has failed

Parts available from F&P directly through their online store

Much disassembly and lots of patience required.

I have the exact same model, had the start capacitor replaced under warranty when the dryer was about 18 months old and then I replaced it again about 6 months ago. Dryer is over 5 years old now.

Otherwise it's been faultless and gets used almost daily.

Our old F&P dryer is now probably about 20 years old! Have had to replace the drum bearing and it's probably going to need replacing again soon as it's starting to squeak again. Apart from that it just rumbles along.

Most people don't seem to understand that you are supposed to empty the lint filter *every* load. Mrs KJ doesn't seem to absorb this fact and doesn't seem to appreciate being routinely reminded of it. But FFS why overheat the dryer and waste time and money tumbling your clothes into threads with no airflow through them!

We have an old ED56, and it refuses to die.

It would be 20 years old now. It could probably do with a new bearing, and the moisture sensor seems to be a bit off (I think, but don't know, that it may be 'overdrying' stuff).
