is there any way to transfer part of the discount accumulated on a card to another card?

here is the longer story: I have joined Contact Energy on a Fuel rewards Plan which promised a free tank of fuel (as a joining bonus) and then 30c/L discount once a month, every month. The free tank of fuel is offered as a discount of $2.50/L applied to your Smartfuel card.

What they actually in the first month, is to apply both these discounts, which sums up to a total discount of $2.80/L for something which costs much less. Once you fuel up, the accumulated discount is reduced to zero. So basically the great deal from Contact ends up in buying petrol for $2.80/L !?

The way I look at it, petrol being (say) $2.10 that means my discount is 70c/L more than full price, when filling up 50L I loose $35, which it was promised to me under what I now see as being false advertising. Thi sis why I am thinking if there is any way to split the accumulated discount between two separate cards, and then you can use the full discount without loosing anything?
