We are requiring a small soak pit for the condensate drain from our gas water heater which is logistically not possible to pipe into the house drainage.

The builder (or plumber or gas fitter) has stuck a small PVC pipe into the ground the act as a soak pit (which i think is pretty standard), but I'd like to replace with something a little more aesthetically pleasing.

I'm thing something more like the below, does anyone no what this is called you where you get them from?

Thanks

the cover is just a regular PVC Storm grate... that particular one looks like a Holman

A competent Bunnings of Mitre 10 should be able to source it for you, or a plumbing supplier should also have them

https://pipefittings.co.nz/product/gully-traps/

"DWV 100mm Gully Collar and Grate"

Even with shipping, might be cheaper than a store

Thanks. I was googling the wrong terminology.

For anyone interest i am looking at making something to perform a function similar to this:

The condensate from the gas boiler is slightly acidic so will fill and surround with lime chips to neutralise it.
