I'm getting a new EV to go with the Nissan leaf so will need to get a dedicated EVSE instead of using the 3pin cable I have at present so I can charge both cars concurrently - maybe?
I have 6kW on the roof approx (array is split into two so cottage has 3kW), shared 14kWh battery bank and also thermal solar. And I have off peak electricity rates with Meridian.
Would a smart charge diverter be of any use here? I don't think I'm exporting anything to the grid at present as it all goes to the battery bank but come summer I should be exporting something.
