I'm looking to replace a very dated dishwasher at home, and have come across the Eurotech ED-DDCSS which looks quite appealing.  I can get an ex-display model at a pretty good price.  The one online review I can find was not favourable, but of course one review is not a pattern.  Does anyone have direct or indirect experience with these?

I'd be really surprised if they're not an F&P rebadged/made under license. They're made in China, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I hadn't heard of anyone else making drawer dishwashers. Whirlpool had one I think (in the US), but it was an F&P underneath.

Not F&P - it is a copy, I believe made by Midea. F&P's patent has expired. HN had them but stopped selling them. Personally wouldn't touch it unless it was cheap enough to be considered a consumable.

Looks like it is the midea one in a different colour. The control panel is the same, the stamped metal on the top looks the same, and it has the exact same specs. There are a few reviews for it but not many.

Can it actually be worse than F&P though?

My advice is to stay well away from dish drawers. They are more trouble than they are worth. We've had two due to space constraints. The second has been better than the first, but it's on its last legs, with only one drawer working and parts being swapped between them to get as much life out of it as possible.

The early dishdrawers had issues with steam, leaks and electronics corrosion. That's been designed out now. I've put several of them into various renos since '95 and the only thing that ever needed replacement was the user replaceable $70 rotor assembly - understandable as a wear and tear part. I could never go back to a stoop-and-pull-out dishwasher and only get single drawer ones in pairs. I know others have had different experiences though.

We've had two dishdrawers in 20 years. First one in a house we sold (was still going when we sold it) and seconds one in our current house, which we bought about 12 years ago and put the DD in. I've replaced a handle assembly after I broke it and a couple of cutlery baskets. Both parts cheap and quick direct from F&P.

Hasn't given us any issues, and I'd buy another one.

5 years is a good warranty....

Would ring around a couple of repair agents and see if they fix them.  Some may even share thoughts on how they are
