I've pretty much decided not to bother now and settle for what TVNZ show as well as MOTD from the UK.

If I miss it too much (which based on my teams ability is unlikely) I'm thinking I can always subscribe using the monthly option down the track which will reduce the total price depending on how many months are to go (I assume)

Its not necessarily that i begrudge the $200, it the fact as there wasn't an offer instead of just clicking and signing up i've stopped and thought about how much i use/need the service.

Can someone please remind me the Firefox extension that converts the kick off times on the PLP website to NZ time? Had a Google and couldn't find it. Decided to re-subscribe, can't handle waiting till late Sunday afternoon to watch the game delayed on Sky, I enjoy waking at whatever time I want and watching in bed on the tablet.

Anybody want a free 7 day pass for the opening week to try it out? Got an email from TAB with a code, available to the first 5000 users. Send me a PM if you want the code.

Has anyone heard anything about Champions League Coverage in NZ.
The rights are held by BEin (part of Al jazzerah) However they only have an Australian website. When I contacted them they fobbed me off saying they only do Australia.
I tried viewing stuff on their Aussie site using Hola but it was still geo locked.
Bit worried they don't care about us and UEFA have sold them the rights but they choose not to market in NZ seems nuts.

I posted a couple of pages back, but I asked Sky Sport on facebook and they said "an announcement is imminent." But also asked on the general Sky facebook page and they said "we're currently in negotiations for the rights to the UEFA Champions League for the 2015/2016 season, but at the moment we don't have anything to announce regarding this." So still unclear whether there will be any NZ coverage at the moment.

Sorry to those I have sent this too, it doesn't appear to work at the moment. Says the code is invalid. The email was only sent out at 3pm so all 5000 can't be gone already. It wouldn't be a surprise to PLP to have not set it up properly! Just keep trying I guess.

Just checked and the code seems to be valid for the monthly pass instead of the week pass. Don't know whether this means you have to sign up to the full season though. Looks like PLP have stuffed this up.

Giggs: I am looking at subscribing.  Is there anyway you can test the feed before signing up?  I had a look on the website and couldn't see any way of doing this.

Found a 'sample' feed under the "About" tab.  Not really a test feed, but just gives you a video you can watch.  Whether you get the same results during a live stream is another question...

Just got a reply from PLP that TAB jumped the gun in sending the email and the code will be live tomorrow.

The results varied extensively last season.  I'd watch ManU with a perfect picture followed by watching Hull with a really crappy jittery picture.  At the end of the game I'd switch between the two and get the same picture which ruled out the time of the day or system demands.

I won't be renewing this year, $200 would have been a push for two teams (my wife supports Hull) but I can't justify it for only 1 team.  MOTD it is for me too.

I can completely understand not wanting to pay for Man U or Hull.
