I'm on the iOS 9 public beta and when air playing to the Apple TV I can exit the app and it keeps playing. Hopefully this will continue when it is released proper.

I emailed PLP saying I’d only just renewed my membership, and now have been given the Spark code.

Just had a reply, saying they have refunded the discounted amount back to my credit card.

Updated to the latest beta and it is back to stopping when the app is closed. Dumb.

Did you have to give any proof you're a Spark customer? I'm not so don't know if they would give it to me.

Hi everyone.

I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. I'm not overly tech savvy but know enough to get me by.

I just resubscribed to plp for the 3rd season. I'm using an iPhone 5s to air play on a panasonic 50 inch smart TV.
The picture looks awful when the TV, fine when on the phones screen.

I have tried using a tablet and also a pic but the picture quality is the same or worse and I have found the iOS app to be the best for me. I have ufb and 50mbps down and 20 up.

I tried air playing movie trailers via my phone eg the new 007 and they play beautifully.
I use lightbox via my iPhone and ps4 and they both look fine.
I use Netflix via Apple TV and and my Xbox one and they are good too.

It's just the plp that looks crap.
Is it still something I'm doing or it is when plp is blown up to a TV it looks shoddy?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Just emailed PLP so fingers crossed...

@SwansNZ how did you come across this promo code out of interest?  I presume it's only for spark broadband customers only..  I'm on spark prepaid so hopefully it works..

Which tablet do you use? an iPad or android? The highest bitrate using the iPhone is 3000kbps whereas an the iPad it's 4500. it is a much better experience using the iPad to airplay than my Phone I have found.

kindagot: Has anyone heard anything about Champions League Coverage in NZ.
The rights are held by BEin (part of Al jazzerah) However they only have an Australian website. When I contacted them they fobbed me off saying they only do Australia.
I tried viewing stuff on their Aussie site using Hola but it was still geo locked.
Bit worried they don't care about us and UEFA have sold them the rights but they choose not to market in NZ seems nuts.

Sky must have done a deal with BEIn sports as showing championship game which has BEIn logo in rightside corner

Cheers, that's good news....although once the Ashes are over I was hoping to drop my Sky sub until the summer!
Is anyone showing La Liga or Bundesliga in NZ that you know of?

I was using a Microsoft surface tablet, didn't make too much difference. The bit rate I had forgotten about. Time to buy an iPad? Jesus wept. I bought a panasonic smart TV before they announced that only Samsung were doing the app.

I just gave the code, no other proof, although I am a Spark customer.
