Just tested my Netflix at home. Luckily I am not seeing any issues.

Telecom NZ VDSL 500Gb Plan
Unblock-Us
Apple TV

Not happy that there are issues. I am mostly using Netflix and MLB.tv.

Netflix US content still not working. All other regions are working well though.

Vodafone ADSL unlimited, UnoDNS.

I have been having issues with Netflix since the weekend, I am on Vodafone unlimited. We use UnblockUS and Getflix for DNS.
UK works fine, US has issues - I can get it to work on my MacBook Pro if I change the playback settings to low quality, 90% of videos play ok.  I can't get the Netflix App on the iPad to work at all when using the US region.  Windows 8 Netflix app doesn't seem to be working either though I am not getting any actual errors, just nothing.

I have a large selection of hardware - Windows 8.1, Window 7, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini (both running 10.9.3), iPads and a ChromeBook.

Wild idea, has anyone referenced this thread to the netflix help desk.
Perhaps with a little evidence they will not try and brush us off with the usual "it's your network".

Hi,
You are accessing Netflix outside of the US, this is a breach of our T & C.
Goodbye and have a super day!

That would not be a very smart idea. Doing what we're doing is against the NetFlix Terms of Service, and can result in account termination.

It is quite feasible that this current outage may be due to changes NetFlix have done to circumvent access via DNS services such as the ones we're using.

From NBR - "Users of Unotelly and other Unblock-us rivals have reported similar problems. So have users of other video streaming services, such as Hulu."

I don't see any complaints about Hulu, what nonsense. Let's dramatize the issue.

Yeah hulu has been fine for me the whole time - at the moment I'm watching Netflix Mexico - just have to put up with the subtitles but they have some good selections on it smile

phantasmNZ: Something has changed.

NF US is working for me every time now. - UnoTelly and Slingshot Global Mode. Since about 40 minutes ago....

I thought I had found the  culprit at first - even though I'd done the proxy check, and believed I had no caching on, I found from the slingshot control panel that I did actually have caching enabled.  I turned it off (NF was definitely NOT working prior to that - well only working 1 try out of 30 or so).  Since turning it off and doing (another)router reboot, I've not managed to fail NF US at all.

For the sake of completeness (even though I don't want it on) I turned caching back on in the control panel and rebooted.  NF US is still working - which means either the action of me "turning it off an on again" or something else changing (maybe background work by ISP or NF) coincidently *appears* to have resolved my issue for now.

Can anyone else confirm if either

a) it's all fixed and all is right with the world

or

b) maybe screwing with the caching setting made a difference

Thanks phantasmNZ!  I can confirm that turning off the caching then turning it back on fixes the problem for me too for Slingshot Unlimited Plan with Global Mode.

Cheers

Excellent work on the part of Unotelly in getting their users on to their free VPN trial. But I am not sure whether it's their VPN being overloaded today (it was fine yesterday) or Netflix being terrible but today the buffering is ridiculous.

I am back up after 5days.
Telecom UFB 500Gb plan now using Unotelly DNS but was using Unlocator DNS. Both are now working with US Netflix.
Tested on Windows 7 Desktop, iPad Air, Apple TV 2 & 3 and all streamed. Very happy.

The only thing I have did was request a Static IP# from Telecom and received it this afternoon and rebooted Router and presto! (Static IP free on my plan)
Hope it lasts. Have been impressed by Unotelly response to this issue so will convert my free trial to a paid Account and move permanently from Unlocator, even though it is now working as well.
