My INDIANA JONES 4-Movie set has now been upgraded to Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos for all four films.
I also noticed that SICARIO (2015) is now 4K HDR/Dolby Atmos. It was HD for a long time.

THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPPERFIELD (2020) [Comedy] @ $0.99 Rental or $9.99 Buy (HD/Dolby Digital Plus)
A fresh take on Charles Dickens’ semi-autobiographical masterpiece, The Personal History Of David Copperfield, set in the 1840s, chronicles the life of its iconic title character as he navigates a chaotic world to find his elusive place within it. From his unhappy childhood to the discovery of his gift as a storyteller and writer, David’s journey is by turns hilarious and tragic, but always full of life, color and humanity.
Some decent Bundle deals available this week. Includes The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings theatrical trilogies all in Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos @19.99 each.
I also picked up Get Out (2017) @$4.99. An excellent film in the Thriller Genre.

I have been a physical media collector since VHS was a thing. Been through the DVD, Blu-ray and Blu-ray 4K UHD stages as well, and my total collection was over 1000 titles an the three formats. I have since sold all of my DVD collection, and most of my Blu-ray/Blu-ray 4K discs when I decided to make the leap from physical media to iTunes Digital streaming. The arguments for physical media are beginning to wear thin as streaming is improving at a great rate, and, unless money is no object, its getting hard to justify the continued high prices of 4K UHD physical media.
I browsed the JB Hi Fi NZ website earlier today, and found that they are taking pre-orders for the Indiana Jones 4K UHD Box Set, which will be released on 16 June for $139.98. A whole $120 dearer than the iTunes bundle.
I rest my case π

Mighty Ape price for Indy set is $165. So JB Hi Fi is a comparitive bargain!

I'm still getting the 4K discs.
I'm still wondering if Walt Disney decides to makes Indiana Jones a Disney+ exclusive, what happens then. Maybe nothing at all, but still...

As I said in my earlier post. The arguments for physical media are becoming pretty thin. π
There is no danger of Disney+ making Indiana Jones an exclusive, because its actually distributed by Paramount. It could, however, become a Paramount+ exclusive.

I wish I had got on to selling off my DVD collection years ago, but don't think it will be worth trying to sell them now.
I think I will always buy discs (blu-rays/4K/whatever) if they are ever going for a really good deal, but otherwise won't bother looking. I do still think the picture on some bluray discs i have is superior to their streamed equivalent though.

I agree that some Blu-ray discs look better than the equivalent iTunes stream, but because the prices are so much cheaper, I'm willing to forego a little bit of a PQ upgrade.
I sold my DVD collection just as Blu-ray were hitting stores. Most people had never heard of Blu-ray then, so I actually got some very good returns on the hard to get titles. I think that you will have to give them away now though. On the other hand, I just recently sold a lot of my Blu-ray movies for $2 - $5 each. Enthusiasts have moved on to better things (4K UHD) of which I averaged around $15 - $20 each. The only 4K Blu-ray that I want to keep, is The John Wick Trilogy, of which all three films are in Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos. They are not available on iTunes in both formats. The first two are HD/Dolby Digital Plus and the third one is Dolby Vision/Dolby Digital Plus. Although, the US iTunes store have them all in DV/DA.

I'm hanging onto my 565 DVD collection, of which only 21 are blue-ray. This number also includes 73 Bali quality disc's (π).
But I also have 139 LGBTQ+ themed movies which are very hard to find on mainstream streaming services. LGBTQ+ themed movies like Brokeback Mountain, A Single Man and Love Simon all did very well in the cinema's and are therefore available on mainstream streaming but more obscure ones like A Home at the End of the World, The Ritz and The Toilers and the Wayfarers will probably not go to streaming.
Hopefully the global LGBTQ+ streaming service called REVRY will fill some of the LGBTQ+ movie gaps that main stream services lack. Its app is available on iOS, Android, tvOS, Chromecast and Roku (works with Airplay and Smartcast) – and aims to provide the best "queerated" entertainment worldwide.
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
I donated my entire DVD collection to the local church fair 18 months ago. I looked on trademe, collections selling for not very much and too much hassle to box up and ship. Local dealer (pennylane) said something like 20-50c per movie but no ex rentals, hardly worth the hassle either, so opted to call it my contribution to the community. Will probably do the same with the blu-ray collection in a few years, have watched maybe 2 discs in 12 months (even then they were available on streaming) otherwise everything is streamed.
It is sad in a way that things have gone this way, used to enjoy watching customers browse our store looking for something to watch, families getting excited coming to the DVD store for the new release family movie of the week etc, but life moves on
