Tidal doesn’t have videos on how to measure and cut rafter plumb and bird’s mouth cuts.
I'm trying to reduce my paid subscriptions, not increase them, to be honest. Total outgoings for streaming services is forcing me to be choosy!
gzt: I canceled one of my YouTube Premium subscriptions yesterday evening. I will probably move to Tidal in a few days at a lower cost.
It turns out my partner cancelled the other YouTube Premium subscription a while back sometime after the last price increase and that's why we have ads on the TV. For our kind of random entertainment and news the ads haven't been a real problem.
YouTube Lite in USA is USD$7.99. I'm not sure if would subscribe if Lite arrived in NZ. Maybe maybe not. I see Google One Premium in USA gives a US$2 discount on YouTube premium. Google One is not available in NZ. While looking at that I did see YouTube music now provides 256k streaming marketed as hi-res. I think I'm going to prefer Tidal's lossless flac.
Lite is just the ad blocker version of YT with no music. I would go for it as i don't do the music thing just use it for blocking ads when casting to the TV.

My only issue with the lite plan is that it doesn't allows download for off-line viewing. I travel reasonably fequently and being able to download YouTube videos on a table for viewing on the plane is something that I rely on.
If I'm going to keep paying $40/month for a family plan for my wife and I, I might have to start experimenting with YouTube music and give Spotify the chop.

4K Video Downloader+ is your friend then.

We did this a few months ago, YT music has it's own quirks but we don't have any real reason to go back to Spotify.
