Kia ora,

Partner appeared on the AM show this morning and I thought I would try to download the actual content off Brightcove for her records.

Streaming and downloading isn't an issue but noticed that the quality is very very low.

Anyone know why the quality streamed is so low? Most people should have 4G/Fibre nowadays so not sure why the chosen quality is so low.

Here is the page/video in question: https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/lifestyle/2021/05/how-does-lego-help-children.html

Lastly, I also noticed that it's buffering a lot on my Fibre connection which is kind of weird too.

Their streams are low resolution and low bit-rate.

Just checked the TV3 stream and it is 1024x576, Bravo is also the same.

Crazy thing is EdgeTV and Breeze TV are better quality at 720p and a far higher bitrate

TVNZ generally uses 720p on their live streams, and MaoriTV uses 1080p
