Has anyone else come across this first-world yet frustrating problem of Apple Music only playing 15 seconds of a song and then stopping? Some songs don’t load at all. AppleTV+ also stopped working. Both these services work fine on cellular, work wifi, friends wifi etc. Reset router, tried multiple combinations of primary and secondary DNS. Messaged Apple Support and followed all their suggestions. Deco router. Fiber optic in Auckland.

Nothing seems to work. Any help or suggestions welcomed!

Cheers (And hope this is right forum)

Thanks everyone. I heard back from Now/Mercury - sounds like this issue is affecting many users across New Zealand and they are working on solving. Appreciated the suggestions and help.

I was able to work around this issue by changing my DNS settings on the router to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1). It is good to know that this is a wider Mercury customer issue and that they are working on it. I presume their DNS servers will be fixed soon and I can return to the default DNS settings.

Hi team,

Apologies for the delay, has been a busy week - We've been working with Apple to make some changes/try and resolve the issue and we believe that as of yesterday afternoon this should be fixed/the feedback we've had so far indicates it is.

If you are still having issues please contact the relevant helpdesk (Mercury or Now) to raise a ticket, however hopefully should be sorted.

Appreciate your patience while we worked to resolve it.
