One of our team spoke to someone who had a call from Telecom telling them that Netflix will be added to their Tivo service shortly - has anyone heard about this and Netflix launching in NZ?

It was probably a misunderstanding; Quickflix is coming (has come?) to Tivo and it's probably just somebody mixing them up :(

Yep, Quickflix not Netflix. Due for launch on NZ TiVo on 09/12/2013.
You won't see Netflix launched in NZ anytime soon. Too much red tape and licensing issues.
On a sad side note for Telecom TiVo customers, our unmetered broadband access is drawing to a close. Word around the camp fire is early next year we will be metered.   :(
