Downloading now, hopefully it works with a US account + UnoTelly.

Slightly annoying because I just bought an apple TV two weeks ago!

Do feedback about whether it works with a US account, from Netflix stance on these things I would think it will work.

Works fine with US account. I haven't needed to block Google DNS servers either, just changed the TVs one to UnoTelly's.

The app is really fluid, much easier to navigate than the Apple TV.

See - this is why Lightbox needs to get their A into G....it's only pre-launch, and LG already has a Netflix app, but no Lightbox one.

To be fair all Netflix had to do was make the existing app available on the NZ LG store... But I know what you mean.

TVNZ on demand have done an exclusive samsung deal too for the smart TV app too. Do they want us to use their service or not??

Yup... silly TVNZ too. Stoopid "exclusives" in fact do nothing but exclude customers. As I've written in other posts, it may not be "fair" to compare NF to local providers, but that's where the local guys need to be fleet and nimble, not plodding & tying themselves to excluders.

No sign of an update for our 2011 LG. Not holding my breath.

Just found it on my 2014 model, interesting.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

I have a LG 55LM6700 - think it's from 2012 or 2013. Netflix not on there yet but contacted LG via Facebook and they tell me that NetCast 3.0 systems, which includes the LM series of smart TVs, will have the Netflix app added on or just before launch day.

Exclusivity will bite TVNZ on the bum.
Standard definition picture - that bites the users.
In this time and age, even at no charge, standard definition is just poor.
Imagine trying to watch that on their 78" UHD TV...

I noticed lack of profile support too.  Not sure it's an "old" app as the new logo comes up and profiles pre-dates to the new logo. Will go to LG with this and see what they say.
