Ive done dark matter (love it), did firefly and its movie (loved it), tried SG atlantis, was just a bit meh. Watched 2 episodes of farscape and gave up, basically everything seemed amateur. I considered Star Trek, but after being forced to watch this in the 70s Im a bit hesitant, although I enjoyed the latest 2 movies much more. Blake 7 rehash maybe, red dwarf makes me cringe now but loved it in its day. Dr who, the same thing in 60s/70s, forced to watch it.

I really like the firefly/dark matter stuff as its not so serious and overly sci fi with weird aliens etc. It seems more realistic even if thats not true.

Just finished Dark Matter! Loved it.

Star Trek: Next Generation is pretty good once you get past the first dozen episodes or so. It's one of those series that you remember fondly from the least several seasons of excellent stuff.....but forget how bumpy and uneven the first series (or so) was. They really settled into it.

Star Trek: Voyager is pretty good, too.

Not on Netflix but "The Expanse" series is very good. Hard Sci-Fi not a light comedy like Firefly (But I did love Firefly as well - very sad when that was cancelled).

I think the entire Blakes 7 seasons was put on you tube by the BBC (could be wrong here - at work so can't check)

Is the 'V' series on Netflix. Loved that years ago - not sure if it has aged well though.

What about SG:Universe?  They only made two seasons before cancelling it (very very annoyed, and they left the end of season 2 so obviously open to season 3).

Loved Dark Matter as well!

What about "The 100"?

Some good suggestions to try here, cheers.

Yeah totally across The 100, brilliant.

Im really waiting on a second season of Marco Polo, the last season of Hell on Wheels, hopefully more Dark Matter.

Also outside of Netflix waiting for history to make the 4th season of Vikings.

Finished Dark Matter last week. Looks like they've approved season 2.

Have a look at Continuum, if you haven't already. (not space, but still worth a look, good SciFi)

+1 on the Expanse, took a while to get into, but really kicks in about Ep5, good to see it renewed for S2, If they follow the books, it should have a great future....

IMHO Childhoods End was a bit Meh,

I'd give Childhoods End a B- it was ok I think knowing the ending didnt help

Expanse really was a slow start but it picks up, lots of world building to set it up I guess

tried Dark Angel? I saw that on a light box trial and was quite impressed too.

Taking notes here myself, as many I've not heard of are being mentioned 🤓

Tried continuim, not really my thing but interesting none the less. i dont feel its binge worthy though. Kind of reminds me of Z nation with the radio and control center with the hack. will definitely watch more.

Could not find dark angel.

or Expanse

This one should tick the box (US Netflix), Ascension. Sci-fi space travel with a twist.

If you have drained the Netflix catalog, give Hulu a shot.

+1 for The Expanse. Best thing since the rehash of Battlestar Galactica. I had to pull this one from US iTunes. No one seems to have picked this up locally.

The 100 is a teen Sci Fi show but it's a current teen show. Much more bite than the 80's & 90's efforts. Worth the effort if your are pushed for options.

Dark Angel from back at the turn of the millenium?   Jessica Alba and Michael Weatherly (pre NCIS)?  I'm surprised that anyone has that in the back catalogue.  Twas good back in the day but didnt it look dated?

How dare you!, watch the first one so you know what is going on and give it another try one of the best SCI-FI series out there, don't watch SGU as it ends on a cliff hanger unfortunately as it was canceled.
