Does anyone know if TVNZ uses anything other than normal IP based geoblocking? I wanted to watch a show and it came up with access denied even when I was going through my home VPN from Oz.

It uses brightcove which is fairly widely used all over the place. It’s likely that you have a local Australian service you’d lose to get tvnz.

Turned out to be a lot simpler... Forgot to change the time zone back to Auckland. Thanks anyway.
