Pretty much exactly what the title says, can I side load the tvnz android app on to a fire stick?

You can but it requires a bunch of Google Play packages and has an overall poor experience.

You're better off sideloading KODI and then adding the TVNZ add-on

Yep i did try that, but it crashes everytime i click on a show episode to view it, I had a look on the Matt Huismann? site and I am not the only one that's having the issue.

Working great for me on a 2nd Gen Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. I'm using Kodi Leia 18 Beta 2 at present.

Sorry that is Kodi 18 Alpha 2 rather than beta.

Ok I finally got round to updating

Kodi 18 Beta 5, and it just drops straight of Kodi everytime i select a show in TVNZ, It appears i may not be the only one.

But has anyone else noticed this behaviour and where do i find beta 4, and can you downgrade, or should i try a nightly and see what it does

I had tvnz via Kodi 17 (?) running on my 1st gen fire TV box about a year ago.

Using Matt's package. Not using Kodi at the mo, so cannot test it now.

I couldn't get them working on 17 owing to WideVine? not being supported of something like that
