I couldn't find this on the TVNZ help website, so thought I would ask here: how long after a show has screened on FTA does it take for it to appear on TVNZ+ to watch via streaming?

Example, a show was on last night around 7 o'clock, do I need to wait 24 hours for it to appear on the website, or is it an overnight thing?

Some shows are instant:

You can pickup 1news partway through its streaming live and tell it to start playing from the beginning....

If its content they have purchased externally , the content licenser may impose restrictions on how long a time gap there is from the FTA content until they can exercise the streaming rights....

So in short I think the answer is "It depends"

Yes this is an external show (Border Security, if you're wondering), so that probably explains it.

Most of the FTA stuff that I can think of shows immediately at the same time as the FTA broadcast - both live and on-demand. But I am thinking of things like Taskmaster and The Block.

Only if media works has built that function into their app. Itโ€™s up to each provider.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Itโ€™s been the same stories for 60 years so you donโ€™t even need to watch it!

The one I was looking for was Border Security AU - but like I say it wasn't on last night, for some reason; normally it runs Monday-Thursday. Just not this week.
