Hey guys,

Been so hot at night lately, hardly can sleep. Anyone got a solution?

Found this http://www.harveynorman.co.nz/bedding/manchester/mattress-protection/gel-infused-pillow-by-bambi.html

Can't find any reviews on it, has anyone owned one before?

Thankfully I have a window right next to me
Open that (while at the same time jamming the door to my bedroom so the door doesn't open/close) and I am generally all good.

Like xpd, me and wife use a cheap pedestal fan every night in summers positioned 80% towards my wife's side and 20% towards mine because WIFE.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Heatpump... even HRV's do a good job of cooling or at least circulating air over night

I've just stayed up later until things have cooled down a bit, but I'm back at work on Monday so might need to start using the fan!

I normally go to bed at around 1am when it is cooler in summers - in the meantime a fan blows on my partners side of the bed because, females.

have a baby on 3-4 hour sleep schedule.

Works a treat - you are always tired so no prob falling asleep.

Possibly expensive long term and not really a "right now" solution.

Anyone tried ceiling fans..was thinking of installing them in the bedrooms.  They seem fairly cheap, and they are quiet, not like the portable fans.  Seems simple enough to install as well, with a sparky doing the final connections.

Have had one in CHCH for the last 5 years. Cheap to run and quite. Wouldn't be without it.
Also make sure it has wooden blades, not thin metal ones as they do make noise.
