The thing driving the move to EVs is climate change......and the need for action is now well beyond urgent. The usual financial calculations are rendered somewhat pointless in the big picture. Saving a few thousand now and later 'enjoying' a planet that is less habitable......well....the priorities are messed up.
Right. It's incumbent on the Govt to incorporate those future costs into the prices of ICEVs via taxation.
I agree, WHEN the ICE has an EV equivalent at a price that is not too far above the ICE. I would then also be in favour of banning ICE in any size range that had EV choices
