An Audi RS, take your pick on which one depending on how much room you need.

There is a R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R which looks to be fairly heavily worked on...

I am sorry to hear of your losses. It's never an easy time, nor is contemplating mortality.

Whilst not exactly what you asked for, if you want a Yolo car experience I can recommend two I have done in the past that I have remembered fondly.

The first was the Audi Ice experience. Real people driving great cars and having a lot of fun on a massive ice pad very high in the air. Costly, but worth it in my opinion. Unpretentious and you are the one driving with another normal person and you just swap over periodically. Fun challenges and experiences.

The second is the super car tours in Las Vegas. I found it very cost effective and I did two in two days (different experiences). The first was the red rocks tour. We took 8 very expensive cars (some of them super cars) on a tour of vegas swapping cars every few miles. The second we took different cars up to the Hoover Dam. I have some nice photos posing with 8 supercars on the top of the dam in the middle of summer. Amazing.  Next time I go I will do the 200mph challenge.

Without know what gives you a buzz, it's hard to recommend a car. But I think maybe you would like a convertible? In which case, my advice would be to get a hard-top convertible -- a leaky daily driver is the pits.

Fair point... I have a gallery of the cars I have owned or driven, in descending order of coolness... That should give a really good feel for the stuff I like...

Missing is my first mini1000, a 1600 1983 Lancer EX, a pug205 GTI that I owned, and a bunch of rental cars - but it's a good view into the stuff I like.

Cheers - N

BMW M2 is pretty neat - my neighbour sold his Aston and bought one.

The Morgan can certainly be a daily driver unless perhaps you live in Queenstown and want to use it in winter.

How about a Trevor? You don't see many of them in NZ.

Ha my Aunt lives in Queenstown and drives her Morgan most of the year!

Having slept on it and talked to my dad and a couple of others, I'm having to knock the really small cars off the list - so that's the Abarth and the S660 gone. Maybe even the 370Z.

Clearly I'm a bit more boring when it comes to a road car than I wanted to think, so the new list looks more like this..

- Infiniti FX50S

- Mercedes E63 AMG (Wagon preferred)

- Maybe a 370Z

I've never really fancied an Audi of any description except for the old Quattro coupe - which is good, because the one I think I would like is terrifyingly expensive :-)

Cheers -N

The black one isn't, but I sold that. The red one is the best spec ever available. Only thing it's missing is the Glassroof dammit. EF8 SiR with (working)ABS and climate Air, half leather seats.

Can’t believe nobody had mentioned a Tesla P100D 😆

0-100 in 1.9 (upgraded Ludicrous Mode) and 762 hp (568 kW) engine.

“The P100D features a 100kWh battery and an electric motor at each axle, it offers a 315-mile range under ideal conditions and comes equipped with the Ludicrous Speed Upgrade. The oft quoted 0-60 mph time of 2.5-seconds makes this the quickest accelerating four-door sedan in the world.”

Ah didn't see the red one. I tried to find an EF8 for a little while before buying another EG9.
I don't think you're missing anything without the moonroof. Think of the weight saving, and more importantly one less place to rust 😄

Performance wise it's a one trick pony. Going fast isn't the fun bit. Cornering and braking are the fun bits (Although to be fair acceleration is fun too - just not as much fun as going around corners). Not to mention the eyewatering price. I'll say now my realistic budget is MAYBE $60k, and if I'm spending that much, it will have to be on something that won't lose a lot more money. I'd prefer to spend $40k max if it's just a car that's going to depreciate like normal.

If money was no object I'd just get a 488GTB and be done with it :-)

Ummm... so is that a 568kW "engine"? Or is it 2x284kW motors? And, at 100% power, I figure you have 10 minutes of driving before your battery is flat.

Do they have any Trevors here? Having mentioned them I can't actually recall ever seeing one!
