Hi all,

After swapping out the stereo in a 2007 Camry I have noticed that the car is idling at a very low RPM at intersections/lights etc. Any ideas what might be causing this?

I did my research online and found many references to swaping out the stereo to be a fairly straightforward process and nobody reporting any problems. To simplify the process I used off the shelf parts and no soldering etc (Metra 99-8218 Dash Kit + Sony XAV-V631BT + Aeropro wiring harnesses), thus far everything works as expected (radio, AC, steering wheel controls). The only drama is the low idle, to the extent it sits at about 500rpm and feels like its going to stall.

My initial thoughts are it might be something to do with the Shift Lock button, as to install the radio I had to remove the center console and plastic around the gear lever. I'll remove these parts today but am not certain its the problem as the car didn't appear to have any problem changing gears driving around town etc.

Any ideas?
