Driving through a shopping car park in the left lane, a ute (with tow bar) reversed out of a car park on my right and badly dented the driver and passenger doors.

Did not see it coming because of the windscreen pillar (A-pillar) blind spot.

Worst part was I was test driving in the new car - only one month old. Luckily the dealer took care of the insurance.

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.

Another factor in the car blind spot issue is spectacle frames and side arms.... even though my glasses have thin wire frames there is an appreciable shadow in the direction of the A-pillar....
