Nothing is impossible for the man who doesn't have to do it himself - A. H. Weiler
xpd: Pop the boot and crawl out the back comes to mind as well.....
wasabi2k: I had a similar experience over the weekend.
Jumped into car, went to turn the ignition, no dice, wouldn't turn. Immediately suspected the keyless fob thing - tried using the emergency key, still no turn.
5 minutes of panic - lights work, battery is ok.
Then i moved the steering wheel slightly. Steering was just locked from when I parked - so couldn't turn the key.
Felt like a dick - lucky only my 5 year old was with me.
Been driving for 14 years - I blame lack of sleep.

The vehicle was a Mazda hatch and they don't have an internal release like a boot on a saloon
Actually they do have an emergency boot release but you do have to look for it/know where it is.
I would always show the work around's for the key less entry systems and especially to the older generation who quite often are the ones that the wife has the key in the purse and the husband drops her off, he goes home then when it's time to pick her up he can't drive the car as she has the key...
as a car salesman this just shows extremely poor service from the person they bought the car from.
