I did this R/C flight along the beach, do you think it is dangerous?

Why do you ask?

It looks pretty deserted but the video quality is very poor so it is hard to tell.

I posted it on a R/C flying forum and a few people said it was dangerous, the video is sped up 20X, I only slow it down at the half way point and for the landing. It was flown FPV.

I can't see why people would say that...

Where I live people fly RC at the parks, against council bylaws. They fly seriously large helis and high speed jets, within 50m of State Highway 1, and very near high density shopping areas. Nobody seems to care. So much more dangerous than along a beach.

Ah.. the song in that video -  i don't like it at all and probably the most dangerous part!

On a serious note, I don't see why it is dangerous, hardly anyone at the beach.

It would come down to what CAA's view on it was.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Those aren't subtitles. Those are ads. And I'd say you have visited a bank or other money services website and the ads are just showing to you because of that.

laughing That made me laugh

Not sure about dangerous, but definitely pointless because of the unwatchable quality.

Yeah the video looks bad because it was windy and I sped up the video 20X and slowed it down when I turned around 5km out. I also slowed it to normal speed when I almost landed in the sea sealed

I am interested in how heavy and fast for this model. The regulations allowing 25 kg, and I don't think speed limits, equates to a lot of energy that could do a lot of damage. In this case it seems no issue if nobody around but when I see octocopters with heavy cameras overhead (last year in Wellington at Frank Kitts park) I get nervous.

But why did they say it was dangerous ?  Link ?

Long as you were not near any groups of people, or next to an airfield, dont see an issue with it.

The model weighs 1700g/1.7kg no where near the weight limit.

This is where the flying forum is. People judged before they knew the facts and still think it's dangerous. Just wondered what non RC people thought of it.
