Hey guys

Anybody here got the non electric Kona? Feedback on the performance and overall use?

Looking to buy an SUV but not sure what to get. Juggling between the RAV4 and Kona.

I don't have the car, but be aware that the rav4 and Kona are in different segments. Kona is heaps smaller.

Toyota's smallest SUV is the C-HR, and even that is 200mm longer than the Kona.

Of course this isn't an issue if you are after a very small car.

Check out the Skoda SUVs, awesome and very well priced. I've got a Kodiaq and it's great

The RAV4 and Kona are different sized vehicles (as mentioned above). While the C-HR is more in the same class, you would need to check out the boot space, because it isn’t big. And sitting in the back is quite claustrophobic due to the high window line and the black interior (not good for kids, even in booster seat). The C-HR is coming out in hybrid by the end of this year.

Don't discount the Niro. I know it only comes in hybrid, PHEV or EV but I liked it better than the Kona in every aspect except looks.

Not sure whether you are talking new or used, but the previous generation RAVs have just taken a hit in price with the arrival of the new TNGA RAV4s. Depending on why you’re actually looking at an SUV, some are only FWD as opposed to AWD or 4WD.

If you are talking new, then I have been told there is a whole new generation of Ford SUVs arriving next year replacing their small medium and large models. Some ecoboost models and some hybrids (particularly the Escape). What that may mean is some significantly good deals while they clear stock in preparation for the new arrivals.
