just how does a normal human being clean fabric car seats?

it seems like whatever detergent you spray on it just creates a grime - soap paste that stays on the seat

i've tried wiping with a cloth, rinsing the cloth, wiping ... doesn't seems to get anywhere

i see on youtube they use the wet spray - vacuum .... but then it would super soak the seats wouldn't it?

I have something from Repco called Mrs McGuire's car fabric cleaner, or something like that. Seems to work ok.
