I know of someone who used it and started to have problems with the car very soon after. Not sure exactly what had to be done but it involved the head being taken off and much dollars..

What are you trying to achive?

If you are looking to prolong the life of your engine, use high quality oils and change it (and oil filter) often.

If you are looking to improve fuel consumption, then clean out air filters and perform regular servicing. Driving with a lighter foot also helps!

If you are wanting to restore the condition of the engine, then you are looking at a reconditioning of it.

If you have a major engine problem then chucking in a can of additive is equivalent to putting a plaster/band aid over the real underlying problem.

Tried it on a Honda and Subaru years ago when it first came out.  Noticed it made the Subaru's engine a bit quieter but other than that couldn't say it did much at all.   Best stick with good quality oil and regular service intervals.  If your engine's worn out you can alter the oil grade to wring a bit more out of it but that would only be denying the inevitable.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

I love the add they used to have with an old toyota 1300 motor (4K) and they had the sump off and were spraying water at it, just shows how tough the 4K is really, nothing to do with motor up.

I loved that bit where the american guy leans over the motor and says, wow you can really hear it has more horsepower now.

That 4K is a spectacular engine. Just keeps going. We had Corollas when I was growing up and the 4k was brilliant!

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.
