The surface pro 2 (256gig with 8gig ram) is a good deal at $1149 however no online shopping and having to go into a store that tends to have limited parking during peak hour.

think i will skip it.

I might have bought a couple of things (a MicroSD card, and something else I thought that was good that I forgot), but no online means a no go for me.

Same for me.  No online sales kind of kills things for me.

went to the north shore store, had to fight my way through a sea of asian teenagers (as a 2metre tal person I was out of place), queue to pay ran the length of the store and in the entire 20 mins i was in there it didnt move an inch. Sale on this monday so will probably try then.

Too bad it's in-store only. I was considering to buy one of their laptops, but there isn't any PB tech where I'm currently living.

I was keen to get one of the Syndology 213air NAS units - a true bargain at $253 incl which is literally 1/2 price.

The queue at 5pm in Wellington was around 100m long extending around the corner so I flagged it - I just thought I'd check on my way back to the car after dinner and found both they had were still in stock. It's quite amazing that people overlooked this bargain, however it probably helped me that the sign they had up in store for the special was wrong and said a lot more than it scanned for. smile

May buy the Office 365 pack..

Interesting that $57  on the  main product web page becomes $67 when you click on the Office 365 icon.
