I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup. Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

Man, saw the first couple and thought hmm, good deal.

Will be pretty great - 1TB is already max for laptop spinning drives. If/when SSDs reach that/exceed that at a decent price point then no more spinning disk!

I don't see 480gb sandiak pro for anywhere close to 165usd shipped. Is the deal over?

What? I was looking at a USB stick... shipping on that was $15 or something like that.

There is some weirdness going on there - when you go through the link it disables Amazon Currency Converter - so you never see the NZD value.

I got caught as it normally shows NZD at the last check-out page. I have cancelled my order. Converted it is roughly $275 which is still a great deal, but less of an impulse purchase.
