"Subscription term is for 5 years." Lifetime of what, precisely? A sickly dog?

Oh nice! I think it is a great offer. The 1+1 and free SmartDNS for 2 years seems more interesting than the lifetime one. I am using a SmartDNS for streaming but there's still a need of a VPN and what's better than getting both in the price of 1 for extended period. Thanks for posting it up here!

Does this VPN keep logs?

How many devices I can access with Pure VPN?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Usually they are single device. What I have done is get a cheap router that does PPTP and put the details for my VPN on that, so its wifi and ethernet ports are all going out thru the PPTP connection and getting the US IP address. No idea what logs are kept by strong vpn which is the one I use for that. They also do openvpn and some others which work well from their app when on stupid motel wifi when PPTP doesnt.

So for the link that i gave above it says the following on the site

  • Connect w/ up to 5 devices at once at top speeds
  • Access a gigantic 550+ servers in 141 countries across 6 continents
  • Use w/ your routers, gaming consoles & smartTVs
  • Use on nearly any device w/ an Internet connection
  • Unblock Netflix, Hulu, ESPN, and more anywhere in the world
  • Receive live support 24/7
  • Encrypt data w/ proprietary software, a self-engineered network & absolutely no third-parties
  • Secure your connection on public Wi-Fi hotspots
  • Utilize unlimited bandwidth & one-click functionality

The thing that jumps out at me is the "proprietary software" this normally means they don't support the standard way to create a VPN via windows / routers etc.

So i would suggest get a free trial or even pay for a month make sure it does everything you need and then purchase the life time.

No, you don't need to install their VPN software to use their VPN, they have manual setup instructions for VPNs and listed all their VPN servers in one of the documentation page, but need few clicks around to get to that page.

Would like to start out by saying that I officially represent PureVPN and am happy to answer questions you guys might have

scarlettwalker: Does this VPN keep logs?

No, we don't keep logs. You review the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use pages on our website. (will add links once I get approval from the mod)

scarlettwalker: How many devices I can access with Pure VPN?

SmartDNS isn't designed to work with your cable subscription. Rather, its sort of an alternative. Think of it like the first step to cord cutting. SmartDNS offers channels from all over the world, can be set up on your machine or even a Smart TV.
