So Noel Leeming have echo dots available next month but they have them on their website for a special introductory price of 68.99 just wondering how special people think this is and how much do we think it will cost me if I don't order by the 24th of January.

Jbhifi has two for 50 and overall better pricing on all echo products

Jbhifi are cheaper. I ordered 2 echos for $250. 2x dots are $99

I would guess they'd retail at $79. Pretty much exactly US$50 + GST. Could be more cause everything always more in NZ, plus shipping.

2 for $50 is a great price. The very cheapest they've been black Friday etc works out to just over $50 including shipping.

I definitely prefer Google Home however. Great that this stuff is finally available in NZ!

Have just bought 3 Google Homes $64 NZ delivered from USA to NZ and 1 google Home mini delivered to Aussie for the same price and 1 Amazon Mini Dot to Aussie for a couple of $ more. The Google Home is fun to use and is nearly as good quality sound as our $800 Sony speakers. Will know the quality of the Mini and Alexa dot in a couple of weeks $99 for 2 is an exceptional deal.

Ordered two Echo Dots from JB HiFi for a same price as Noel Lemming.... don't know where I'll put them yet but they will supplement my Echo Plus and Echo Show.

The biggest difference between the JB HiFi price and the Noel Lemming price being the inclusion of FlyBuys point with NL. And as an incentive, I don't see the benefit on collecting FlyBuys.

So i currently have both at home (couple of dots and 2 google homes) Over the last week have been using the big google home devices (not the mini's) and i am finding google is no where near as good at listening and picking up on voice. With the dots they understand a lot better when talking to them.

Looking forward to the echo's turning up from jbhifi :)

Well, keen on buying a second hand Google Home in case you want to get rid of one ;-)

Will keep that in mind, they might end up in the kitchen/downstairs to control the hue lights we have but if i am not going to keep them I'll make post on here

I am finding the opposite as far as voice recognition goes. My Google Homes understand me better than my Echo Dots. Do you have your language set to US, UK or Oz English on the GH? (I have Oz).
