Common sense is not as common as you think.

Wow - some steals there. So DTR is toast is it?

Edit: just the brick and mortar stores closing. Online store remains.

The pricing is still astronomically high consider they need to get rid of it.

I suspect they will be having a 12 to 18 month closing down sale.

Loved DTR back in the Mid 80s. Used to hire Hifi VCRs(and kept upgrading to the latest and greatest until i decided to fork my own money out and purchase a Panasonic NV-F70)and TVs from them in the mid 80s/very early 90s. They were great back then. I moved to Group Rentals around 1990ish as DTR didnt have any of the new and fancy 29" TVs that were coming out. Group Rentals were absolutely terrible though.

Its more an opportunity for a quick cashflow boost then getting rid of stock as the stock they wont sell will go into the online store inventory?

ya sure, there will be some restocking fees with transport and warehouse space, but rather that then selling at 50-80% reduction

Some discussion on Cheapies. Someone picked up a Samsung Q70B 85" for $2799 after a bit of haggling.

Thanks, got a Sunbeam Insta Go Blender and the Samsung 360W 3.1.2Ch Q600A Soundbar.

My current soundbar just started to really play up over the last couple of months which takes a good hit to get it working again, so not bad timing :)

+1 on this.  Got all excited but then hit a wall of mediocre deals.

Will monitor, but it's not there yet.

Price for the 32" Samsung 1376 x 768 TV wasn't bad, but $49 delivery charge scared me off immediately.
