I've signed up for the trial too. Part of me hopes that I don't like it so I don't end paying for F1 access twice (F1 TV & Sky Sports Now).

I was a boy and had the good fortune of both a motorsport-mad father and grandparents who lived in Fielding.

My eldest daughter remembers seeing Liam race in the NZGP at Manfeild long before the F1 rise.
It's an excellent track as you can see the whole thing from the viewing areas, rather than just a short section near you.

TAB had Sainz @ $51 to be the fastest of FP1 so I threw $5 at it. Was sitting pretty till Norris did that lap in the final 2 mins haha

why is Lawson so slow? i don't have a good feeling about this unfortunately. Marko keeps saying he wants results or he's in trouble.

It's early days but I expected him to come out of the gate a LOT stronger than this. Maybe he's bent the car with that wall-tap in P1? As I type he's about 5/10ths off Verstappen's time, but it's made much worse by the fact Tsunoda and Hadjar are killing it in the junior cars.

Been watching Lawson's on-board this session, he sounds subdued. Really not impressed with the job Richard Wood is doing as his race engineer, Pierre Hamelin is light years ahead of this guy.

Can imagine the socials are blowing up with the Perez fan base putting the boot in already.

they did say near the end of fp2 that it looks like he’s on last years spec for front wing.

I don't think they have same car. Verstappen is in the newest car. Lawson is in the older spec with the different front nose and wing.
