thermonuclear:
Very tough day at the office for Lawson. However, can't imagine Verstappen is running the new floor and front wing because it is slower. Also wondering if Liam's car is the same one to have the water pump issue in Bahrain. A few mechanical issues so far this year that certainly haven't helped the Kiwi driver's cause.
Great lap from Tsunoda with quite a chunk of assistance from Norris with the tow. Still, had to be in Q3 to do the time to begin with so more power to him.
The McLarens showing they're worth the favourites tag so far. Horner just been on F1TV saying you can't judge Lawson on what's happened so far this weekend, and reminding the nay-sayers that he was right with Tsunoda last season in the same machinery.
No doubt Lawson will be expected to hold up the McLarens in the race if he finds himself circulating at the back tomorrow, perhaps a Perez sidepod special for Norris? Hoping for a wet race as that will mix things up without doubt.
Lawson needs to be given the same equipment first and foremost though, have a new appreciation for how Sargeant must have felt early doors last season.
Liam didnt have the same spec?
Hopefully he will move through the pack somewhat
Cloudy. Warm morning, followed by a cool and windy change during the late morning. Very high chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon. The chance of a thunderstorm. Winds north to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h shifting southwesterly 25 to 40 km/h in the late morning and early afternoon.
The quali could have a range of dry wings to help quali and pray ran isnt that bad. Or wet wings and suffer in quali but get payback in the race.I'll watch post quali now for any of that news.
Back to Liam, I will cut him slack the first few races to get up to speed.
