Meh. Kind of lost interest in this year now. It's pretty clear what's going to happen, and that it will be painted as some sort of hard-fought victory for HAM when he only got back into it when he got given a huge technical advantage and would have been even further behind had he not gone on to win a race he wiped Max out of in Silverstone.

Yep. Most sports I watch the player or team use the same tools, so the player or team is a genuine win. F1 is the same for Constructors, Mercedes used the same tools (regulations) and are deserved winners again. But the driver side is a farce. The farce being the accolades awarded when your tool, the car, is clearly too fast and too much hp for any other driver. While I'm an RBR fan, they are the team of the year as is Max the driver of the year. Based on the handicaps their cars and the rest of the grid have, and the way the title points went

The next race (assuming the Jeddah circuit is finished in time) is a street track with few run-off areas, so there's plenty of opportunity throughout the weekend for someone to put it into the wall.

If Lewis or Max don't themselves, then you can count on someone else doing it and causing many safety cars etc. We've seen it before when the pack gets bunched up with under 5 laps to go and it all comes down to who's got the sticky rubber for the last restart.

I think the hard tyres disintegrating after thirty laps may have been the most exciting thing. I feel bad for Bottas, a poor start but clawed himself within sight of the podium only for the tyre to pop.

It's going to be very tight that's for sure. Wound up being a good points haul for Honda, the constructor's championship may come down to the number two drivers.

351.5 Verstappen

343.5 Hamilton

203 Bottas

190 Perez

153 Norris

152 Leclerc

546.5 Mercedes

541.5 Red Bull

297.5 Ferrari

258 McLaren

137 Alpine

112 Alpa Tauri

boring race. i can't believe LH is going to win again. I was hoping with RB's great start into the season that finally someone will remove LH. but Max and RB were to immature.  like not slowing down under yellow flags yesterday. now if LH wins no 8 and comes back for no 9 next season would be very boring again.

maybe Flavio can pay Tsunoda to do something in the next 2 races ...

this is my theory about Bottas

in the few races where Bottas dominated, i think they cranked up his engine to see how much they can push the Merc without it exploding. when Bottas did so well and the car didn't explode, they applied the same software to LH in the last 2 races and possibly the next 2.

you can also see that towards the end of the race mercedes must have turned down the power in LH because Max kept doing fastest lap on older tyres and LH could not respond.

my favourite driver is Max.

second is Vettel

third Alonso

forth Russell

fifth Norris

sixth Bottas

seventh Riccardo

eigth Mazepin

ninth Leclerc

tenth Kimi

but all of them combined cannot beat Lewis. Not even Bottas. but i don't think they are given the same engine maps. Maybe Russell will.

LOL you cannot compare drives unless they are in the same care, so you can that LH has an edge over Bottas, although we dont know the mappings Toto chooses to use

Who is the best driver on the grid? Dont know, no one does.  Its a car championship, so you can only compare team drivers

who is comparing drivers? no one is comparing drivers. are you comparing drivers?

F1 is a simple game. 20 cars go round and round and at the end of the day Lewis Hamilton wins.

Honestly Russell taking Hamiltons spot due to Covid was about as big a example of how one sided this whole thing is that you can get.
He got in a car he'd never driven before, was asking is this the DAS system etc, but then goes on to nearly win and only a team stuff up and puncture stopped it.

That car is just leagues ahead of anything else, and he is clearly the number one driver status within the team.
Chuck a Norris or Alonso etc in that car and they'd be off too.

I've seen many stop watching F1 in the last 5 years or so, so now anyone else winning get's my support as I'm sick of the predicktability and processional nature of the sport under this environment.  Bring on 2022, even if it is the start of another team dominating.

It's cool to see the Netflix effect drawing more in.  F1 seems to have bounced back with a solid title fight this year and post covid.  I have high hopes for the future.

Yeah I know! Reason is, is how this series is based is the car and team, so we have curated races. How good is Bottas? No idea he's never allowed to take points off LH. Alonso, a superstar made a team change choice that failed, Hamilton made one that gave him a 2 second per lap faster car. Good on him, but he didnt win 8 titles as he is a super star he won them as he had a super car. 3/10 per lap is a big gain, 2 seconds....
