We can only hope for clouds now.

That was even more stupid than Taylor from Watling, one person I would never expect to fall for a trap.

NZ deserve to lose this one, the reality is they are going to anyway. I cant see CDGH and Latham sticking around 2 sessions.

Of all the people I would expect to fall for a trap is Latham yet hes been brilliant.

Seen this too often. They are professional sportsmen, there is no excuse. To be fair, a drawn series is a fair result.

Yep. Latham not dropped this time. Finally falls for a trap like those before him. I cant understand latham there. He knows thats what they are bowling for him to do.  Sure it was a great catch, but its definitely a plan, along with 2 other catches closer in on that side.

Fantastic effort day 1 5/90. Since then we have been getting ourselves out or with the bowling we havnt been making them play and letting them wait for the pie each over.

Really disappointing, I was so excited that me might win a test series against a top team at home. :-(

Its is disappointing, but NZ have themselves to blame. Its these weak moments that define teams. Its not just how good you are batting its how you play for 5 days. Too may signs of weakness and this is what you get.

Cloud coming on now, now the commentators are hoping for that. What poor sports

Clouds are slightly darkish, still bright out though

Geeze smithy saying they might only get 7-8 overs with the new ball. Sheesh, surely we can survive that long.

Maybe we could pull of a miracle?

Without southee, we 1 more down.

Definitely, we have failed today almost every wicket was avoidable.

If we draw due to light, I feel thats robbing England a bit, but I will take it haha.

I went to Mid Cant last June, I couldnt believe how low the light is there, it was 2pm but felt like 6pm in Auck.

I havnt seen Sodhi with a proper oppurtunity to bat. He actually has some good technique. So does Southee.

I think we could turn them into all rounders quite easily.

This talk of light, I get the feeling Eng will have about 10 overs.

Dilmah Craig and Mark talking about the issue I have with having tests at start of season then only 2 at the end of the season.

Marks says lesss tests so we value them, i kind of agree.

Id like to have seen 2 at the start, 1 in the middle of the season and 1 at the end of season.

well you are wrong and just means you dont know me yet.

i like winning, but id rather win and deserve it than win by default or luck.

looks like light is not going to shut the game down now.

so 38 overs we need about 200 runs, 4 RPO.

Sodhi good enough to feed  and CDGH good enough to score most of the 200.

Yes very pleasantly suprised. His action is very technically good. he has a few times where he shoulders arms but he keeps the bat straight.

Sodhi has a really good eye for that Spin, his blocks are going straight down.

is Williamson in the Dressing room giving Wagner a quick session on batting technique for defemce
