Imagine if the MAGA hat changes into the symbol of people blinded by their own fears.

kingdragonfly: I heard Bill Maher speculating that COVID has been helping Biden, in an expected way: by keeping him off the campaign trail.

Biden is well known for

  • public gaffes

  • physically touching people around him

  • because of his age, higher chance of dying from Covid

So by self-quarantining, he's helping his campaign.

Another reason for him to pick an acceptable running mate for VP.

Acceptable, Intelligent, Political Smarts, Statesmanship, good orator, empathic AND Oh Yes YOUNG(er)

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

The Washington Post - Trump’s articles of impeachment - updated

today

President Trump [was acquitted] of high crimes and misdemeanors nearly five months ago ...

Based on Trump’s behavior this year, and what we’ve learned of his prior actions, would we have anything to add?

[headings only]

  • Article 1: Negligence, leading to the deaths of thousands of Americans, in the handling of the novel coronavirus.

  • Article 2: Abuse of law enforcement powers.

  • Article 3: Abuse of his appointment power.

  • Article 4: Abuse of power in foreign affairs.

No-one will say it openly, but Biden's VEEP pick will be viewed by many as the actual president, either during Biden's term or immediately after. The expectation is that at his age, he is living on borrowed time anyway.

Thus making "sack of potatoes" an even more likely candidate to win if there was a three-way runoff.

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/06/29/politics/donald-trump-coronavirus-russia/index.html

Trump's weekend represented yet another sign that he has moved on from a pandemic, which has killed more than 125,000 Americans and threatens to claim tens of thousands more, that he initially ignored, then mismanaged and politicized and has now grown tired of talking about [it] as his reelection fight looms.

What happened to "I alone can fix it"?

Wrong quote, it's "I don't take responsibility at all" - D.Trump.

I know, if it wasn't true it would be depressing enough on its own :(
Seriously, how can this guy think he can earn another term in office?? He seems to live in his own delusional reality world, and the Breitbart/alt right idiots just vacuum up everything he says with gusto. They seem to have some of crackpot response ready every time someone challenges him or something he has said.

Gizmodo: Trump Misidentifies Sculpture in Oval Office While Saying Statues Help Teach History

In a bizarre interview with Fox News last night, President Trump stood next to a sculpture in the Oval Office that he said depicts former president Teddy Roosevelt, and explained that statues are vital to learning about history.

Trump went on to complain that some people want to tear down statues of President Roosevelt, just like the art in his office.

The only problem? The sculpture Trump was talking about isn’t Teddy Roosevelt. It’s an anonymous cowboy from the 1890s.

If Trump was a gunfighter, he would aim at the bad guy in the window and shoot himself in the foot. Even Saturday Night Live could not improve on this perfect example of ignorance Trumping stupidity. Biden might just as well stay in his basement. Trump is already doing a stable genius job of unelecting himself. This is comedy gold!
