Early (1%) results at http://www.politico.com/2016-election/results/map/president has Trump winning Indiana, Kentucky by 60+%, NH 52% to 41%. NH has been Democrat for the last 3 elections.

To the OP, are you sure you didn't get the two names mixed up? Pretty much the entire rest of the world (the one run by sane leaders) would want Clinton elected for world stability, and the world economy. If Trump got in we would likely see a meltdown in the economy, and it may lead to a sharemarket collapse. This was somewhat proven when the Clinton FBI news came in last week, and sharemarkets dropped, to to the news heavily influencing the outcome. Also the last time the US went to war was when the republicans were in, and they seem to be the ones who are all for the right to bare guns. That law is just madness in a 21st century civil society. 

It is funny that people in the US are now seeing Obama as being a good president, and infact he had good approval ratings throughout his term, even though he didn't do everything he was going to do. A vote for Clinton would be continuing down that road, and she is an old hand. She may also only have 1 term in her due to age. Soyou really have to look at her vice president will be, as they will likely be the one being groomed for the job. I think the main problem people have with Clinton, is unlike her husband, and Obama, her public perception isn't warm. She doesn't come across well. but we have had leaders in NZ like that too, who NZers eventually warmed to.

Clinton's problem is that she has the expression of a predatory bird. Trump's problem is that he has a mouth like an anus.

That is unfortunate about Clinton. I don't really understand that she doesn't come across better, considering she has been in it for so long. I think when she shouts, it is very shrill and off-putting.  I mean if Bill was running instead of her, he would possibly have it in the bag. But it would be very superficial to vote for someone based on how they come across, rather than what they stand for. But I fear many people in the US vote on the person they see talking, and hey do tend to vote for celebrity and TV/movie figures. So if you want to become a president, become a movie or tv star first. Trump is a TV star, and comes across well on TV.

We are quite lucky in NZ,becuase we can watch the results live during the day. In the US, people will have to wake up to  find out who has won.

I'll stick with my guess in the other thread, 5% popular vote to Clinton, and Trump trounced. 

Although neither candidate is appealing, if I was eligible to vote I would likely be holding my nose and casting it Trump's way.

The reasons are:

1) Under Obama's presidency, the US has been sliding down the "world's best" rankings in just about every measure...  Clinton would see a continuation of those same policies.

2) Almost every single female that I know has been vocally pro-Clinton, but can't point to a single policy or thing that they like about her, except that she's a she.   That just makes me want to #facepalm

3) The US media (particularly the NY Times & Washington Post) declared loudly and very early on that they would do everything within their power to prevent Trump from being elected.  I've also noted similar tendencies in
NZ based coverage of the campaign.  This is entirely at-odds with their stated ethos of credibility, fairness and impartiality.

So yeah, it would mainly be a protest vote...

1. That started long before Obama. He has also had to contend with a Congress that would rather see America die than him succeed.

2. The single thing all women and many men like about Clinton is that she is not Trump. That alone is enough to make her the better candidate.

3. Credibility, fairness and impartiality in the media. Gee, where would we look for that? Fox, maybe?

If you want to cast a protest vote, try the Libertarians.

There are a fair number of sites predicting Trump takes Florida. He has to win it to stay in the race, but there are 750 votes in it at 87% counted. Expect a recount.

He's increased his margin now, but I'd say there will be calls for a recount if it comes down to it.

Not really - there are many communities in Texas with majority Hispanic/Latino population, just depends on the order polling stations count and report.
